All submissions are acknowledged promptly and all offers of publication and letters declining publication are made via email.  Turtle does not accept previously published material and does not offer comment or suggestions on work we decline to publish.

Turtle does not offer extensive editing of any pieces, though we do reserve the right to make minor edits and suggestions with the author’s approval.

Turtle sometimes accepts work for inclusion on our website that is not included in the print edition, especially in cases of visual art in color when a print edition is planned in black and white only.  Authors and artists whose work is accepted for publication in the print edition may choose to offer additional work to be included on the website.

Turtle offers payment in the form of 2 copies of the issue in which your work appears.  All submissions accepted for publication in the print edition of Turtle will also appear on our website, www.turtlelit.wordpress.com, and remain available on our website when subsequent issues are published.  After first appearance, all publication rights revert to author.
